WHITEWATER – March 22, 2023 – The Discover Whitewater Series (DWS): Half Marathon, Half Marathon Team Event, 5k, and W3 Fit Kid Shuffle is excited to announce that the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater has committed to another year of being a title sponsor!
The 11th annual DWS will be held on Sunday, September 17th, 2023. The University has supported the DWS tremendously through its title sponsorship and by providing volunteers from the faculty, students, alumni, and student organizations. The DWS race course also highlights some of the UW-W campus’s best features including landmarks and finest buildings.
Thanks to the University’s ongoing support, the DWS is able to provide runners with course marshalls, water stations throughout the race course, and supply meals for volunteers with in-kind donations from the UW-W dining services.

The DWS is also extremely grateful to the UW-W College of Education and Professional Studies for their help in providing free childcare services with the Kids Korral. Through the student organization: Creative and Resourceful Educators (CARE), student volunteers are able to create and oversee a safe and fun morning for the children of DWS participants. The DWS offers this as a unique selling point for parents and guardians who want to participate in the race while their child is being well taken care of. It is a great opportunity for participants to enjoy a stress-free running experience.
