PRAIRIE DU CHEIN, Wisc. – In case you missed it, Congressman Derrick Van Orden joined Mike Huckabee over the weekend on TBN to discuss the war in Israel and the blatant anti-Semitic rhetoric we see popping up from the halls of Congress to college campuses across the country.
During the conversation, the former Governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee and Van Orden discussed the blatant anti-Semitism in the halls of the Capitol.
“One of my proudest moments in Congress was standing on the House floor and excoriating Ms. Tlaib for calling for the genocide of the Jewish people,” Van Orden said during the interview. “Calling for the genocide of any people is wrong and for her, to be a sitting member of Congress, it really is something. it’s something I never thought I’d have to face.”
Van Orden’s comments come weeks after he spent time in Israel meeting with soldiers, speaking with government officials, and touring sites of the October 7th terrorist attack. In his conversations with Israeli officials, Van Orden recounted a promise he made to those officials saying, “there is a group of American citizens and there’s a group of us in Congress that will stand with the Jewish people from the beginning to the end, so that the river to the sea never happens.”
During their conversation, Van Orden and Huckabee also discussed the charges leveled against Hunter Biden and the impeachment inquiry launched by House Republicans to further investigate the Biden family.
For his part, Van Orden said the vote to open the impeachment inquiry was a no brainer. “It’s part of our oversight responsibility that’s been given to us by the Constitution to follow-up on this – and I’m telling you: if you cannot see a potential that the President of the United States is under the influence or control of a foreign government, you need to change the channel once in a while and look at another source of news because it’s just so in your face,” Van Orden said.
