In Case You Missed It, the Biden-Harris Administration has hit the ground running to implement the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which is already delivering results for the people of Wisconsin.

To date, $218 billion in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding has been announced and is headed to Wisconsin with over 170 specific projects identified for funding, according to the White House. By reaching communities all across Wisconsin – including rural communities and historically underserved populations – the law makes critical investments that will improve lives for Wisconsinites and position the state for success. 

  • Announced funding to date for Clean Buses: To date, $25.8 million has been awarded for the Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean School Bus Program. In addition, communities in Wisconsin were awarded $3.8 million for clean transit buses and improved bus service through DOT’s Low- and No- Emission Bus and Bus and Bus Facilities Program.
  • Announced funding to date for Clean Water:  To date, $151 has been announced to Wisconsin to provide clean and safe water across the state and improve water infrastructure.
  • Announced funding to date for Electric Vehicle Charging: Wisconsin has been allocated $28.4 million in 2022 and 2023 to build out a network of EV chargers across the state. 
  • Announced funding to date for Clean Energy & Power: To date, approximately $115.7 million has been allocated to Wisconsin for clean energy, energy efficiency, and power in 2022 and 2023. This includes:
    • $95 million for weatherization; 
    • $7.9 million through the State Energy Program; 
    • $6.5 million through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program; 
    • $6.1 million to prevent outages and make the power grid more resilient. Additional grid funding will be made available in the coming months. 
  • Announced funding to date for Resilience: To date, approximately $75.1 million has been allocated to Wisconsin for infrastructure resilience in 2022 and 2023, including $9.2 million through the Army Corps of Engineers for flood mitigation. 
  • Announced funding to date for Legacy Pollution Cleanup: To date, $6.5 has been allocated to cleaning up Superfund and brownfield sites.

Many more projects will be added in the coming months as funding opportunities become grant awards and formula funds become specific projects.
