DeForest, WI –Senator Tammy Baldwin was endorsed for reelection by the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council while attending a tour of their Apprenticeship and Training Center.
“Our union is a jobs club and exists to better the lives of our members by collectively working for better wages, benefits, and working conditions. We support candidates who help create opportunities for our members, and we couldn’t ask for a better friend than Senator Baldwin fighting on our behalf in Washington,” said Kent Miller, President/Business Manager of the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council.
“Senator Baldwin voted to make historic investments in our state’s infrastructure building our roads, bridges, renewable energy projects, and high-tech manufacturing projects with the passage of the IIJA, IRA, and CHIPS Act. These investments are helping grow our economy and creating great-paying jobs and pathways to lifelong careers working in the building and construction trades.”

The Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council is an affiliation of five Laborer local unions, representing nearly 9,000 construction craft laborers throughout Wisconsin. The Laborers are the most diverse trade in the construction industry servicing employers in transportation infrastructure, building, sewer and water, utility distribution, demolition, asbestos removal, and related sectors.
