MILWAUKEE, WI — The Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce has opened applications for it’s second LGBTQ+ Entrepreneur Bootcamp. Building off of a successful Entrepreneurial Bootcamp in 2022, this two day intensive workshop will provide new and potential business owners the tools and education to start up a successful business in Wisconsin.

“The goal of our LGBTQ+ Entrepreneur Bootcamp is to empower LGBTQ+ and allied individuals to start their own businesses,” said Jason Rae, President and CEO of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber. “Members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies have so much to bring to the business world and we want to ensure that they have what they need to be successful. We saw last year how important this program was to entrepreneurs and we are excited to continue that in 2023 and hopefully beyond.”

The LGBTQ+ Entrepreneur Bootcamp will offer participants the resources and guidance to start their own business. They will learn the importance of finding your why, ideation & planning, getting to know their customers & market research, the legal side of starting a business, best practices for marketing & branding their business, and the financing & launch of their business. Attendance at this event includes the opportunity to connect and network with other entrepreneurs and new business owners.

The 2023 LGBTQ+ Entrepreneur Bootcamp will be held Thursday, September 14 and Friday, September 15 in downtown Milwaukee. Applications are required and are open now through September 1. Participation cost in Entrepreneur Bootcamp is $50, which will cover all program fees and materials. Scholarships are available to ensure equal opportunities for all who want to participate.
