MADISON, Wis. – In case you missed it, Tammy Baldwin’s hypocrisy is on full display. This time, it is the glaring contradiction between Baldwin’s public rhetoric concerning K-Street and the cozy relationships of her own staff with lobbyists and Washington insiders.

Today, Dan Bice of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel revealed that Baldwin and K-Street have effectively created a mutual farm system for Senate staffers and political operatives.

“Records show that 24 staff employees for the state’s junior senator have either come from or gone into the lobbying business, some in the industries Baldwin has specifically warned against, including the pharmaceutical industry and the financial sector.”

For all of her criticism of special interest groups, there is apparently no better place in Washington to get your foot in the door at Big Pharma or Wall Street than Tammy Baldwin’s Senate office.

Wisconsinites deserve better than a career politician who spends her time funneling lobbyists to and from the Hart Senate Office Building.

“While Wisconsin families struggle with higher costs and lower wages, Tammy Baldwin’s staffers have enriched themselves with easy access to lobbyist jobs and special interest groups. America’s recovery begins when Wisconsin elects a senator who will put Main Street ahead of K-Street.” —WisGOP Spokesperson Matt Fisher
