MADISON, Wis. — On the heels of Donald Trump’s visit to Wisconsin last weekend, in which he delivered a multi-hour rambling of personal grievances and unpopular Project 2025 ideas, A Better Wisconsin Together is thanking Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for spending Friday and Saturday in Wisconsin to spread a much more positive and progressive vision for our state.
The following are statements from A Better Wisconsin Together Communications Director Lucy Ripp:
“We continue to appreciate leaders like Tim Walz, Vice President Kamala Harris, and President Joe Biden, who was here just last week, for prioritizing Wisconsin and the issues that matter to Wisconsinites.
“Hearing from Walz, a teacher, was a nice reprieve after Trump’s recent visit here in which he suggested putting Republican politicians in charge of running Wisconsin’s schools.
“It’s clear that while Trump and his Republican allies in Wisconsin are focused on personal vendettas and instituting Project 2025, leaders like Walz and our very own Governor Tony Evers know that what’s best for our students is what’s best for our state, and are uniquely knowledgeable about the issues facing Wisconsin families and communities.
“That’s the type of dedication we deserve from our elected officials, and we look forward to building a future where every Wisconsinite can thrive in our schools, our communities, and our economy.”
