MADISON, Wis. — In the span of just three days, Wisconsin has seen visits from Vice President Kamala HarrisDemocratic Vice-Presidential nominee Gov. Tim Walz, and GOP Sen. JD Vance – presenting Wisconsinites with a stark choice between two different visions for our future.

According to A Better Wisconsin Together Communications Director Lucy Ripp, these recent visits have drawn an ever sharper contrast between the progressive agenda of lifting up working families and expanding our rights and freedoms, and the extreme right-wing Project 2025 agenda that caters to the wealthy few and wants to restrict basic freedoms like voting and reproductive healthcare.

“While Harris and Walz spent their time in the Badger State focused on their plans to continue lifting up working families, lowering costs, expanding access to health care and child care, and protecting our rights and freedoms, Vance focused on stoking fears and spreading lies to distract from the Trump-Vance Project 2025 agenda,” said Ripp. “JD Vance flat out admitted on national television that he has concocted fake stories and spread dangerous lies to stoke fear and divide our communities, and chose to spend his time in Wisconsin on Sunday doing more of the same.”

It’s clear that while Harris and Walz are are focused on delivering tangible solutions that address Wisconsinites’ everyday concerns, Vance and Donald Trump want to place blame on others to distract from their far-right agenda that would raise prices on Wisconsin families, make it harder for us to afford and find quality healthcare, ban abortions with no exceptions, and strip away hard earned benefits like Social Security and Medicare.

“Wisconsinites are at a crossroads between two very different futures,” said Ripp. “One, an extreme Project 2025 that attacks our freedoms and democracy. The other, a new path forward that builds a future where working families can get ahead, our elections are safe and secure, and everyone’s rights and freedoms are protected.”
