The Assembly today approved 64-35 along party lines a bill to overhaul the funding system for the state’s private school voucher programs, sending the measure to the state Senate.
Rep. Kristina Shelton, D-Green Bay, said she was frustrated the chamber was discussing AB 900, arguing Republicans were prioritizing private schools instead of talking about public schools’ needs.
