U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin’s new TV ad proclaims she “fought like hell” to protect pensions for Wisconsin workers.

The campaign said the ad is part of a previously announced seven-figure buy that will run in all Wisconsin markets, but it declined to provide additional details.

According to AdImpact, the Madison Dem had nearly $2 million in ads reserved through Tuesday, with WinSenate adding $3.2 million to that.

Meanwhile, GOP U.S. Senate candidate Eric Hovde had reserved $4.2 million.

The new Baldwin ad references a provision included in the American Rescue Plan that allowed the U.S. Treasury to provide assistance to failing multiemployer pension plans.

The spot features a series of Teamsters who said they were informed their pensions were being cut in half.

One says, “Every paycheck we put money away” before another adds, “But because of Wall Street greed, boom, it was gone.”

Another says Baldwin “wrote a bill to save our retirement” as another adds that “she fought like hell to pass it.”

One closes the spot, “What Tammy Baldwin did for our families, you don’t forget something like that.”
