EAU CLAIRE, Wisc. — Today, Cooke for Congress announced the endorsement of Wisconsin Secretary of State Sarah Godlewski. A fifth-generation Wisconsinite and fellow Eau Claire native, Godlewski cited Cooke’s experience, common-sense solutions, and deep commitment to the Eau Claire community when announcing her support.

“Rebecca Cooke understands the challenges that hardworking Wisconsin families face, having dedicated years to strengthening the Eau Claire community,” Godlewski said. “In contrast, Derrick Van Orden has consistently demonstrated a troubling lack of respect for those same values. His actions show a concerning pattern of behavior that does not align with our Western Wisconsin values. We need someone who is going to get things done for us, and that’s Rebecca Cooke.”

“Working families both need and deserve a fighter in their corner, and Sarah Godlewski’s leadership as Secretary of State is a shining example of the hard work and accountability I’ve worked to embody my whole life,” Cooke said. “We’ve all watched Derrick Van Orden spend two years failing to deliver anything more than conspiracies and childish outbursts, and Wisconsin families deserve so much better. I’m honored to receive the support of a public servant who relentlessly puts Wisconsin first, and I’m running for Congress to bring that same dedication, energy, and spirit to Washington every day.”

Rebecca Cooke has been endorsed by over a dozen labor unions, leaders, and organizations, including the Blue Dog PAC, New Democrats Coalition, Communications Workers of America (CWA), American Postal Workers Union (APWU), Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), members of Congress Rep. Sharice Davids (D-KS), Rep. Jared Golden (D-ME), Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA), Rep. Mike Thompson (D-CA), Rep. Brad Schneider (IL-10), and Rep. Raul Ruiz (D-CA), among others.
