This week members of the Wisconsin Troopers Association (WTA) announced their endorsements for the 2024 election cycle, including Representative Steve Doyle, recognizing candidates in the Wisconsin State Senate and Assembly who demonstrate support for the men and women of law enforcement and who consistently act to improve public and highway safety.
“The WTA strongly supports legislators who work to uphold high standards in state law enforcement,” stated Matt Johnson, WTA Executive Director. “We applaud those who understand the importance of implementing compensation plans that enable us to recruit and retain high-quality law enforcement officers. This is essential for maintaining safe communities, and reflects lawmakers’ recognition of the vital role state patrol officers play in managing statewide emergencies, ensuring highway safety, and combating human trafficking and drug risks.”
Steve Doyle had this to add:
“Public safety has always been my priority. I was proud to be endorsed by the Wisconsin Troopers Association.”
In addition to the State Troopers, Representative Doyle has also received endorsements from District Attorney Tim Gruenke and Sheriff John Siegel.
“These are the men and women who work every day to keep us safe. They’ve had our backs – and I’ve had theirs. Just this session, for example, I voted to bring over five and a half million dollars more per year to our region – funds that will help support law enforcement and first responders. I’ve joined efforts to recruit and retain officers, and I’ve supported efforts to help victims get justice more quickly.
I don’t just talk about public safety – I have a record of supporting our officers and fighting to keep our communities safe. That’s why I’m the candidate of law enforcement in this election.”
