The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is out with a new TV ad that calls GOP businessman Eric Hovde “a straight-up jerk.”

The DSCC has $3.1 million in ads reserved between this week and Sept. 30, according to AdImpact. It’s part of the $7.5 million reserved supporting U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin over that period, compared to $3.9 million on the GOP side.

The spot features a man in a hard hat identified as Scott, of De Pere. He says it “can be backbreaking work” being on your feet pretty much all day, so it “burns me up when Eric Hovde says people in Wisconsin don’t work hard.” He says Hovde is a multi-millionaire California banker who lives the “high life out there in a big, fancy house, brags about being in the 1% and “has absolutely no idea what we’re going through.”

“Listen, don’t come here and tell us we’re not working hard when we are just getting by,” Scott says. “Eric Hovde doesn’t respect us at all. The guy’s a straight-up jerk.”
