MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers announced today that he is seeking applicants for Green County Sheriff. The appointment will fill a vacancy being created by Sheriff Jeffrey Skatrud’s resignation, effective June 30, 2024. The new sheriff will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term that ends January 2027.
