Last week, Donald Trump pledged on the debate stage that he will repeal the Affordable Care Act and replace it with “concepts of a plan.” The Harris-Walz campaign is seizing on those comments with events this week across key states to slam Trump’s Project 2025 agenda – a stark contrast with Vice President Harris’ plan to lower health care costs and improve access for the millions of Americans who rely on the ACA. Just last week, the Biden-Harris administration announced 50 million Americans have received health care from the ACA, including 2.3 million Georgians2.1 million North Carolinians, and 1.5 million Pennsylvanians, making Trump’s comments and this local push more timely than ever.

Trump’s Project 2025 agenda would not only rip health care away from millions of Americans and allow insurance companies to deny coverage to those with preexisting conditions, but it would also spike health care and prescription drug costs. Trump and MAGA Republicans tried to repeal the ACA over 60 times and Trump has called the legislation “lousy,” promising to “terminate” it as part of his Project 2025 agenda.
