Madison, WI – October 17th, 2024 – With less than one month before election day, Hispanic Federation, Centro, FWD Latino, Voces de La Frontera are gathering in Madison on Thursday October 17 at 11AM to mobilize eligible Latino voters to the polls. Working together, the groups seek to engage with Latino voters and knock-on thousands of doors before Election Day. The announcement comes on the heels of the last major survey on the Latino electorate published by Hispanic Federation, in collaboration with Latino Victory, which highlights how Latino voters in Wisconsin view the presidential candidates and the top issues motivating them to vote, including the nuances of Latino voters in Wisconsin. This announcement mobilizing the Latinx community in partnership with the Hispanic Federation is one of many efforts taking place in Wisconsin to encourage Latino voters to fully participate in the election. As the fastest growing demographic statewide, we are committed as organizations to play a pivotal role in determining the future of our state and our country.

Centro Hispano of Dane County
As the leading non-profit organization working with the Latinx population in Dane County, Wisconsin which includes Madison and the surrounding communities, Centro has a forty-year history of uplifting and strengthening local communities. The organization has worked tirelessly to keep up with the growth of the Latinx community in Dane County and now supports over 7,000 individuals annually with more than 20,000 hours of programming. Centro’s initiatives are some of the only bilingual/bicultural programs focused on serving Latinx communities in Dane County and the organization serves as a key resource for the city, county, state and local school districts and partners with over a hundred nonprofits and employers in the area. To meet the growing needs of Latinx in Dane County, Centro has tripled the size of its staff and doubled the number of programs it offers from just ten years ago.
