GOP businessman Eric Hovde’s latest TV ad accuses U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Madison, of lying about getting a major fentanyl bill passed.
Hovde has $179,388 reserved on TV this week, according to AdImpact. It’s part of the nearly $1.9 million over that period backing him, according to AdImpact. Meanwhile, Baldwin and those supporting her have $3.7 million reserved.
The spot says Baldwin claims she’s doing something about fentanyl before playing a clip of an interview with GOP U.S. Sen. Tim Scott, the main sponsor, saying he “never had a single conversation with Tammy about this bill, period.”
As the spot shows Baldwin shaking hands with Vice President Kamala Harris, the narrator closes the spot, “Career politicians like Senator Baldwin are always lying about something. Senator Baldwin, she’s extreme, radical and wrong.”
