Senator Tim Scott is calling out Tammy Baldwin for her lies about fentanyl legislation.

After nearly four years of serving as a rubber stamp for the Biden-Harris immigration agenda that has allowed record amounts of fentanyl to flood across the southern border, Tammy Baldwin is determined to mislead Wisconsin voters about her record on the subject. Now FEND Off Fentanyl Act sponsor Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) is speaking out against Baldwin’s claims to have played a role in its passage in the Senate. That is correct, the sponsor of the bill Baldwin takes credit for said she never once reached out to work on the bill.

Meg Ellefson: “So I gotta ask, did Tammy Baldwin herself reach out to you? Because I would say that if she were really concerned about it. She could have been a stepped up right away, to co-sponsor the bill, as opposed to stepping in, as you said, at the 24th in the 24th hour, if she really believed this were a well, if she wanted it to be a priority, she could have authored a bill herself, which she did not do, correct?”

Senator Tim Scott: “Correct, as a primary sponsor, the creator of the legislation, I’ve never had a single conversation with Tammy about this bill. Period, full stop. There’s no question in my mind. One of the first things that Eric Hovde brought to me was the crisis caused by our open border. Every Democrat in the Senate has supported the open border policies that have led to the deaths of 1000s of Americans. Because of fentanyl, the greatest invasion in the history of America coming across our southern border, because every single Democrat has stood in lock step with Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, and yes, the border czar, Kamala Harris, undeniable.”

Since Sen. Baldwin has been in the Senate, opioid overdose deaths have nearly tripled in Wisconsin. A recent report from Forward Analytics found fentanyl is the leading cause of death of people aged 25-54 in Wisconsin.

Moreover, Sen. Baldwin has said we spend too much money securing the southern border and has repeatedly voted against border security that would prevent the flow of drugs from entering our country.
