Madison – The Mayadev for Assembly Campaign announces that it raised over $78,000 in contributions in the first reporting period of the campaign, ending June 30th. Over 275 individual contributions were made to the campaign, all $1000 or less.

“Renuka Mayadev is a historic candidate. A mother of two and daughter of immigrants, she would be the first South Asian (Indian American) to serve in the Wisconsin legislature. At a time when our reproductive rights and personal freedoms are under attack by the Ultra-MAGA right, we need people like Renuka who are generating the grassroots support necessary to flip the Wisconsin Assembly” said Spencer Harrison, Campaign Manager.

“Not only is Renuka a fundraising powerhouse,” said Tyler Hendricks, Senior Advisor to the Campaign, “She is knocking doors across the district, talking with voters about her progressive policy platform that has earned unmatched endorsements in this race from state and local leaders including Governor Jim Doyle, Lt. Governor Barbara Lawton, State Senator Kelda Roys, State Representative Francesca Hong, Fmr. State Representative Terese Berceau, City of Madison Alder MGR Govindarajan, Fmr. City of Madison Alder Mo Cheeks, and MMSD School Board Member Savion Castro.”

The primary election will take place on Tuesday, August 13th. Join the campaign at
