MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Natural Resources Board (NRB) will meet in-person for the September meeting to consider proposed rulemaking documents.

The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, at Food + Farm Exploration Center in the Ag Grand Hall located at 3400 Innovation Drive in Plover, WI. The Board will act on items 1-4 and 7 as listed on the agenda.

The public is encouraged to watch the September meeting on the DNR’s YouTube channel.

The deadline to register for public appearance requests and to submit written comments is 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024. Remote testimony from the public via Zoom may be accepted. In-person public appearances are also welcome.

During the September meeting, the Board will be considering:

  • Request adoption of Board Order WW-06-22, proposed rules affecting chapters NR 320, 323, 326, 328, and 329 related to placing structures and crossings in navigable waterways.
  • Request that the Board adopt Board Order WA-12-21, proposed rules affecting chapters NR 660, 661, 664, 665, 668, 670 and 673 related to modifying and expanding universal waste management regulations.
  • Request adoption of Board Order WA-11-21, proposed rules revising chapters NR 660 and 661 to incorporate federal hazardous waste regulations promulgated since the previous authorization of the Wisconsin hazardous waste program, relating to updated test methods.
  • Request that the Board adopt Board Order WA-14-21, proposed rules affecting chapters NR 660 to 679 related to technical corrections of state hazardous waste regulations.
  • Request that the Board adopt Board Order WM-09-23, proposed rules affecting chapter NR 12 related to wildlife damage and abatement.
  • Request that the Board approve the Statement of Scope for Board Order LE-05-24 and conditionally approve the public hearing notice for Board Order LE-05-24 and notice of submittal of proposed rules to the Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse, for proposed rules affecting chapter NR 64 related to all-terrain vehicles.
