MADISON, WI – State Representative Alex Dallman (R-Green Lake) released the following statement regarding the State Building Commission approving $551,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County Area through the Grants for Local Projects Program. The investment will be used to assist in funding a new facility in Ripon, WI.
The 2023-2025 biennial state budget included $50 million for non-state organizations across Wisconsin to build local projects. The newly established program must have a statewide public purpose and at least 50 percent of the construction costs must come from non-state revenue. On October 8, 2024 the State Building Commission approved 50 projects, including funding for the Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County Area.
“I am proud to have fought for the Non-State Grant Program in the state budget and especially proud that the Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County Area was awarded funding to build a new facility in our community,” said Rep. Dallman.
“The Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County Area makes a lasting impact on youth in our community and I will always fight for the success of Wisconsin’s youth. I have witnessed firsthand the lasting impact the Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County Area has in our region and I am proud to have their life-changing impact right here in our backyard.”
