MADISON – Representative Jessie Rodriguez (R-Oak Creek) issued the following statement regarding her appointment to continue serving as a member of the Joint Committee on Finance (JFC) for the 2025-2026 legislative session:

“Serving on the Joint Committee on Finance is a tremendous responsibility; one I don’t take lightly. I’m grateful to Speaker Robin Vos for once again entrusting me with this role. I hope to represent the caucus and the people of Southeastern Wisconsin well as we begin our work on the next biennial budget.

“I spent this fall talking to people in my district about what issues concern them, and the most common answer by far is the economy. It’s vital that we look at our revenues and expenditures with a critical eye to put forth a budget that reflects the priorities of everyday Wisconsinites. People are feeling the squeeze, and providing meaningful tax relief must be our top priority in the upcoming session.

“I look forward to collaborating with Co-Chair Mark Born, Vice Chair Tony Kurtz, and the many new and returning members of the committee as we prepare for the 2025-2027 biennial budget process.”
