Madison, WI—Senator Joan Ballweg, sitting senator for the 14th Senate District and candidate for re-election, has been endorsed by the Wisconsin Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.
According to the endorsement letter sent by the Wisconsin Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, Ballweg has been endorsed due to her work in the legislature on issues including mental health services, health care coverage, prevention of child abuse and neglect and prevention of domestic violence and sexual assault.
“I am honored to be endorsed by the National Association of Social Workers,” said Ballweg. “I have had the privilege to work with this organization many times over my years in the legislature, working to get more professionals certified and working in the mental health field in Wisconsin and ensuring those individuals have the training they need to provide high quality care. I look forward to the opportunity to continue serving the citizens of the 14th Senate District as their State Senator.”
Joan Ballweg was elected to her first four-year-term in the Wisconsin State Senate in 2020, and is running for re-election. Throughout her time in the legislature, Ballweg has worked with members of both parties to champion policies for rural communities, mental health, strengthening families and has been a strong supporter of the state’s agricultural and tourism industries.
