MADISON, WIS. — Today, Senate Republicans held their caucus and leadership elections. Senator Rachael Cabral-Guevara (R-Fox Crossing) was elected to the position of majority caucus vice-chair.

“I want to sincerely thank my colleagues for their support,” said Sen. Cabral-Guevara. “Now, let’s get to work cutting taxes, getting rid of unneeded red tape, and supporting hardworking Wisconsinites.”

The majority caucus vice-chair is responsible for chairing caucus meetings when the chair is absent and supporting caucus members.

“I also want to thank our outgoing caucus vice-chair, Senator Joan Ballweg, for her many years of service to our state,” added Sen. Cabral-Guevara. “Wisconsin is a better place because of her leadership and we will be losing an exceptional colleague and friend next session.”
