Tomahawk, WI – Mary Felzkowski, the incumbent Senator and a candidate for the 12th State Senate District, released the following statement after she was declared the winner of the seat in Tuesday’s election:
“I am honored to be re-elected to serve as the State Senator for the 12th District. I thank all my constituents who engaged in this election process: from our clerks who worked tirelessly to keep us informed and organized, to the election workers who stepped up to serve our communities, to my opponent who put her name on the ballot and gave everyone a choice, and to each and every one of you who did your civic duty to our democracy by casting your vote.
I continue to be humbled that you, the people of the Northwoods, choose me to be your voice in Madison. I will strive to serve without the distraction of partisan politics, and advance policies that create opportunity in northern Wisconsin for our children and grandchildren. I will spend the next four years dedicated to fighting for family-supporting jobs, access to quality healthcare, an excellent education for our children, a revival of our northern economy, and a little less government in all our lives.”
