It is a tremendous honor to return as leader of this incredible caucus.   We have a fantastic team and I cannot wait to get to work on the priorities of Wisconsin voters who have waited years for the chance to have their voices heard, and represented, in the State Senate.  The people of Wisconsin have even greater opportunities ahead.

Despite a national outcome that was unquestionably disappointing and frankly heart-breaking, I am very proud of my Senate Democratic colleagues and our candidates for delivering a successful message of effective leadership on the issues most important to the people who chose us to represent them in the Capitol.

As I said to my colleagues after the election, our shared work has never been more crucial to the future of our state and citizenry, and we know Wisconsin families are counting on us to deliver for them.

We will continue to work effectively Governor Evers.  We will work to seek common sense solutions with our Republican colleagues in the Legislature when we can to get things done for the people of this great state.

I look forward to working harder than ever to move our agenda forward and achieve legislative successes wherever possible, to draw sharp and effective contrasts where we must, and put first the priorities and people of our great state.

I couldn’t be more proud of this team and the opportunities we have to show Wisconsinites why they should grow our caucus even further.
