Senate backs $3B GOP tax cut plan on party-line vote

The Senate today voted along party lines to back a $3 billion GOP plan to reduce the state’s third-highest income tax bracket while expanding a break for retirement income.
Gov. Tony Evers has pledged to veto the bill, which now heads to his desk.
Sen. Rachael Cabral-Guevara, R-Appleton, argued the break would allow Wisconsinites to keep more of their money at a time when prices continue to climb....
