Senate rejects Ambs for NRB, plus Lawton, two others for UW clinics authority


The state Senate today rejected the nomination of Todd Ambs to the Natural Resources Board, the fifth of Dem Gov. Tony Evers’ picks for the body that has been shot down by GOP lawmakers in the last four months.

Republicans also rejected the nominations of former Dem Lt. Gov. Barb Lawton, former Dem state Rep. Sondy Pope, and Candice Owley, a former president of the Wisconsin Federation of Nurs...
