PRARIE DU CHIEN, Wisc. – In case you missed it, Congressman Derrick Van Orden joined Sean Duffy and Mary Dagen McDowell on Friday to discuss the efforts to protect President Trump ahead of his trip to Prairie du Chien on Saturday.

“We want the president to be safe,” Van Orden said. “The Secret Service has been failing abysmally lately. There has been two assassination attempts on the president recently – including one where he was shot in the face.”

Van Orden also discussed the ridiculousness of the American Secret Service offering protection to Iranian leaders who have threatened to assassinate President Trump.

“We do have obligations to protect dignitaries who come into the United States of America, but as you aptly pointed out, when we’re protecting the leaders of the largest provider of terrorists around the world, Iran. we must make sure we get President Trump back into the White House to put Iran back in their place,” Van Orden continued.

Speaking of his time doing “personal security detachment operations in Iraq during the war,” Van Orden made it clear: “When your only job is to make sure the President of the United States doesn’t get shot in the face and then the President of the United States gets shot in the face, that means you’re failing at your job.”
