MADISON, Wis. – Today, the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation announced their support for Tammy Baldwin’s U.S. Senate reelection campaign. The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation is the largest general farm organization in the state, representing 61 county Farm Bureaus and over 47,000 members across the state. Tammy Baldwin is the first statewide Democrat to receive the Farm Bureau endorsement in over 20 years.

“The Wisconsin Farm Bureau supports Senator Tammy Baldwin for her continued dedication to Wisconsin’s agricultural community,” said Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation Brad President Olson. “Senator Baldwin has led efforts to enforce FDA labeling standards through the Dairy Pride Act and increased funding in Wisconsin businesses through the Dairy Business Innovation Initiative, which has directed almost $40 million to help Wisconsin dairy businesses. Her leadership on key legislation like the Meat Business Innovation Act and the Farmland Security Act reflects her commitment to the future of our farmers and rural communities. Senator Baldwin understands the unique challenges facing Wisconsin agriculture and has consistently been a strong voice in Washington, advocating for policies that promote sustainability and growth in our state’s farming industry.”

“I am so proud to receive the endorsement of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation,” said Tammy Baldwin. “The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation represents thousands of farms that keep Wisconsin’s agricultural economy moving forward. Our farmers do so much for our state, which is why I’ve been determined to ensure their voices are heard in Washington and together, we’ve secured funding for farmers’ mental health care, delivered millions for dairy businesses, protected American farmland from foreign investors, and stood up to unfair trade barriers. The hardworking men and women of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation have my word that I’m going to keep fighting to ensure Wisconsin agriculture remains a top priority in Washington.”

Tammy Baldwin has served Wisconsin in the Senate since 2013. She has worked with Republicans and Democrats to take on the biggest fights and win, passing legislation to promote Made in America manufacturing, lower the price of prescription drugs like insulin, and expand health care for veterans. She is the author of the Women’s Health Protection Act which guarantees equal access to abortion everywhere in the United States.
