Strip away the banter, at which both candidates fought each other to a draw, and Trump emerged victorious from the debate. Trump’s vision of the future, and the allies he has chosen to help realize it, is far more optimistic than Harris’s bleak projection, and her terrifying allies. Americans will support Trump’s realistic optimism because it corresponds with their own approach and hopes for the future. They reject Harris’s pessimism because, while it could become a reality, it will be avoided after American voters elect President Trump.
Harris paints a bleak picture of the world and our prospects. For example, in the short term she can’t see any way forward on Ukraine other than to expand the war against Putin’s Russia. Thus, while she is reluctant to state that she intends to place the USA and its economy on a war footing, she clearly intends to do so as witnessed by her stated desire to impose price controls, the initial step in any such plan. She is aware that going down this road will in all likelihood result in a nuclear war, but sees no other alternative which is why she has no intention of calling or negotiating with Putin. She realizes that if she is elected and implements her vision, she has doomed Americans (and the world) to a bleak future over the course of her presidency. Still, she hopes that in twenty years, long after her term is up, things might get better, assuming we win the coming (nuclear) war and doing so does not annihilate us all. Harris seemed to age during the debate, as if in outlining her plans to the people she suddenly realized what they would entail.
Trump on the other hand thinks negotiations among himself, Zelensky, and Putin are the way to go. He is aware that such negotiations will result in an imperfect outcome…but notes that an imperfect outcome avoids a catastrophic outcome like a nuclear war between Russia and its opponents. Trump repeatedly reminded the Americans citizens of something they know, but Harris seems to have forgotten or prefers to ignore. It is impossible to defeat the Russians in Ukraine without generating a nuclear war…which is self-defeating for all parties involved, not least of all the American People.
Ms. Harris has a long record and in her public life she seems to be a harbinger of doom. For example, Biden dispatched her to Europe to handle the crisis in Ukraine. Harris failed to include Putin in the conversation and it expanded into a larger war. Biden dispatched Harris to handle the Border Crisis and she didn’t bother to visit the border so it got worse. Now, Harris has promised us that if elected she will lean on Liz Cheney and the War Party when she dispatches her subordinates to solve problems, a prospect that is truly terrifying.
Trump on the other hand has a different approach and history. He will talk to everyone and doesn’t exclude important parties at the outset of the conversation. He personally travels all the way to the heart of the problem and sets it right by starting at the source. The American people know that Trump’s chosen allies in such endeavors, like Tulsi Gabbard and RFK Jr, represent the Peace Party. With them we have a chance at success.
Voters prefer people like Trump, Gabbard and RFK Jr. over Harris and Liz and Dick Cheney. As a result, Trump will win the upcoming election and together we will Make America Great Again.
