PRAIRIE DU CHIEN – One week from THIS SATURDAY, a debate is scheduled to be held in Adams-Friendship by the Adams County Chamber of Commerce. But there’s no sign of Rebecca Cooke or her campaign.
Last Thursday, the local chamber invited BOTH candidates running for Wisconsin’s Third Congressional District to debate the important issues facing voters. Congressman Van Orden accepted the invitation one week ago TODAY.
So what’s Crook’s status on the upcoming debate?
REMEMBER: It wasn’t that long ago that Crooke said she had no problem traveling or debating in any county stating in part, “there’s no community too small, or too red.” Cooke also said in a separate interview that she would debate Van Orden, “any time, any place.”
So here’s the important question that EVERY reporter covering the race for Wisconsin’s Third District should be asking the Cooke campaign today:
If you’re willing to debate Congressman Van Orden “any time, any place,” why haven’t you accepted the debate invitation from the Adams County Chamber of Commerce?
