Hello, this is State Senator André Jacque from Northeast Wisconsin.

As we enter the Christmas season, I want to take a moment to highlight a special day that has become a cornerstone of supporting our local economy—Small Business Saturday. Next week Saturday, we come together to celebrate the small businesses that make Wisconsin unique. These are the family-owned stores, local restaurants, and neighborhood services that not only provide jobs but are the backbone of our communities.

Small businesses employ millions of Wisconsinites and contribute to our state’s economic strength. In every part of our state, these businesses offer the personalized service and products that big-box stores simply can’t match. Supporting them means investing in our neighbors, our communities, and our future.

Next Saturday, I encourage all Wisconsinites to make a plan to shop local. Whether it’s picking up Christmas gifts, enjoying a meal, or supporting a local service, every dollar spent in a small business helps grow our economy and keeps Wisconsin thriving.

The Wisconsin legislature’s Republican majority is committed to fostering an environment where small businesses can continue to grow and prosper. Let’s stand together and support the hardworking men and women who make our state great. Next week, I hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving with your family and friends, a happy Small Business Saturday, and a joyful start to the Christmas season!
