A pair of new A Better Wisconsin Together spots includes one that slams conservative Supreme Court candidate Brad Schimel for taking money from Purdue Pharma and then refusing to sue the opioid manufacturer.

The narrator in the 30-second ad says Schimel was the only Wisconsin candidate that Purdue Pharma donated to, and the company also gave money to a national Republican group that spent nearly $3 million on his 2018 race.

The narrator adds 71 out of 72 Wisconsin counties sued Purdue Pharma, but Schimel refused to join them.

It concludes, “Tell Judge Brad Schimel to stand up for Wisconsin first.”

The second spot features a clip of Schimel saying, “The 1849 ban on abortion, which by the way, what is flawed about that law?” The 15-second spot then repeats Schimel saying “what is flawed about that law?” four times. The final screen reads, “Tell Brad Schimel: Keep extreme politics out of court decisions.”
