Madison, WI – In case you missed it, Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin (AFP-WI) State Director Megan Novak joined Jon Justice on KTLK’s Twin Cities News Talk Wednesday morning to discuss the Wisconsin Supreme Court race and explain why electing Brad Schimel is crucial to ending Democrats’ lawfare and preventing them from propagating their radical agenda across the country.

On the Importance of the Race Beyond Wisconsin’s Borders:
“We have a chance to flip the majority on the court from a progressive, overreaching Supreme Court to a rule of law based majority and the reason why it’s so important not just for Wisconsin but for the entire country is the progressive candidate in this race Susan Crawford has been openly fundraising with an organization where the subject line of the fundraising email is ‘learn how to gerrymander two congressional seats for democrats…’ They are trying to use the Wisconsin Supreme Court to take the House majority out in Washington DC to stop America’s comeback…they think their pathway instead of actually, you know, going out with good policies and winning elections with good policies is to take the Wisconsin Supreme Court.”
On Defeating Democrats’ Historic Lawfare:
“For everyone who gets mad about the lawfare we see happening out in DC and democrats running to the district courts to stop the DOGE committee from doing the great work they’re doing, they learned that in Wisconsin first. [Wisconsin] unfortunately has had a history of partisan judicial lawfare in our state that set the narrative for the entire country to be able to do that, and we have the chance on April 1st to finally put a stop to the lawfare and bring Constitutional rights and rule of law back to our Supreme Court.”
On Voters’ Support for Schimel:
“I think the message we can all take away from November’s elections is voters are looking for bold actions, they’re looking for someone to fight for them and in the Supreme Court race we know that person is Brad Schimel.”
On AFP’s endorsement of Brad Schimel:
“[AFP] has been on doors talking directly to voters since before Thanksgiving… after the [November] election…. two weeks later, AFP was out talking directly to voters about Brad Schimel… He is a long-time prosecutor, District Attorney in Wisconsin, and former state Attorney General. He has a record of protecting communities, prioritizing victims and making sure they can get justice, as well as protecting Constitutional rights and always standing for the rule of law. He is the candidate that Wisconsin needs to take back our Supreme Court and to once again get back to fairness, integrity, and trust.”
Background:
AFP-WI has reached out to over 200,000 voters in support of Brad Schimel since first endorsing Schimel on November 13th. Since then, our grassroots activists have been out in full force and will continue the momentum through Election Day on April 1st.
