American for Prosperity-Wisconsin has released new digital spots in its effort to boost conservative Supreme Court candidate Brad Schimel.
The narrator in one spot says the future of Wisconsin is at stake April 1. That future under his liberal rival, Susan Crawford, would be “partisanship over the law” and her “political agenda over our safety” with a progressive takeover of the court.
The narrator adds the state needs a fair and impartial judge like Schimel, who will “defend our rights, keep our communities safe and protect Wisconsin values.” The spot closes urging a vote for Schimel April 1.
Two other ads the group released today largely follow the same script, with the narrator saying the state’s highest court demands fairness, trust and integrity, and “Schimel will follow the law, protect us and keep our families safe.” The narrator says Crawford will “play dangerous partisan politics” and her record includes being soft on crime while her campaign is “pushed by radical progressives who cost your family dearly.”
One version ends with the narrator saying “fairness, trust, integrity” as an image of Schimel on the bench is shown on the screen “or extreme partisanship. You be the judge.”
The other ends, “On April 1, you be the judge. Vote for trust and integrity, not extreme partisanship.”
