Waukesha – Today, state representative Scott Allen announced his candidacy for Mayor of Waukesha.

At a breakfast event at Dady-Oh’s Restaurant in downtown Waukesha in front of a crowd of supporters Allen announced his intention to run for Mayor in the April 2026 election.

In his speech he listed an inventory of assets and exceptional qualities that Waukesha possesses. “There is no more beautiful city in Waukesha County, maybe southeastern Wisconsin, than the City of Waukesha,” said Allen, “it would be an honor to serve as the city’s mayor.”

Citing his love for the City and his dedication to service, he recognized that it was time to focus his work on the financial sustainability that Waukesha needs. He also referenced the City’s financial management plan and the projected deficit. “The task before us will require creativity and candor,” Allen said.

Allen has two master’s degrees, one in urban planning and one in public administration. He has also spent the last ten years representing Waukesha in the state legislature. He previously served on the Waukesha County Community Development Block Grant board and one term on the Waukesha Common Council. He is also a Realtor and a business owner.

Allen indicated that he intends to engage in community-wide brainstorming and collaboration through the city alder people and stakeholders to collect ideas on solutions.
