Madison, WI — Today, the U.S. House of Representatives concurred with the Senate on the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), paving the way for President Trump to sign the sweeping pro-growth economic package into law.

The OBBBA renews the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), a key provision that helps Wisconsinites keep more of their hard-earned money and prevents the largest tax increase in history. As part of AFP’s national Protect Prosperity campaign, AFP-Wisconsin has been speaking with voters across the state to highlight the importance of these tax cuts.

AFP-WI State Director Megan Novak issued the following statement on the passage of the bill:

“The passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and renewal of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is a monumental win for hardworking Wisconsinites, families, and job creators.

“AFP-WI is grateful for our principled Wisconsin lawmakers for meeting the moment and pulling through for Wisconsinites and protecting them from the largest tax hike in history. Senator Johnson and Representatives Steil, Van Orden, Fitzgerald, Grothman, Tiffany, and Wied stood strong and delivered true economic opportunity for our state and for the American people by voting to renew President Trump’s tax cuts.

“AFP-WI is proud of our best-in-class grassroots army of activists, who have spent their weekends rallying support for Congress to get it done, pass this bill, and preserve prosperity for all Americans.”
