EAU CLAIRE, WI – In just 11 weeks, Emily Berge raised more than $150,000, with an average contribution of $33.07 from over 3,700 donors. Emily’s Wisconsin grassroots momentum is clear, with contributions coming from 65 counties throughout Wisconsin.

Emily is proving that she will be a Congresswoman for the people of Wisconsin’s third district, not outside special interests; she has taken zero PAC contributions and will fight to rid politics of corporate dollars.

“We are focused on giving the people of the Third what they deserve: a Congressperson who will fight for their needs, not give handouts to the ultra-rich. Whether you live in rural farmland or an urban downtown, whether you’re just graduating college or looking to retire, we all deserve a government that is working to better our lives. Everyone deserves access to quality, affordable healthcare – including mental health care, affordable housing, a clean and safe environment, and an economy that works for all, not just the wealthy” said Berge. “Whether it be through my work as a mental health counselor or the City Council President, my commitment is always to helping my community.”

Emily has devoted her life to community service; volunteering to repair homes in Appalachia while in high school and joining AmeriCorps after college. She has served western Wisconsin for over 20 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor. In 2018, she was elected to represent Eau Claire’s 1st District on the City Council and then elected city-wide as the City Council President in 2023.

Emily Berge is the current Eau Claire City Council President. She is running to provide healthcare coverage – including mental health care – to all, ensure that all of our neighbors have access to housing, guarantee that every worker earns a living wage and that billionaires pay their fair share, and actively fight to combat climate change.
