Eau Claire, WI — On Wednesday evening, December 10th, from 5:30 to 7:30pm, Congressional Candidate and current City Council President Emily Berge will be serving the community from behind the bar at 3rd & Vine in Eau Claire.

Emily has been an advocate for public input in government and accountability for elected officials since she first took office. On City Council, Emily advocated for and successfully enacted a public comment time to Council meetings. Berge prides herself on her availability to the public and is always open to comments and conversations.

“Throughout my time on Eau Claire City Council, I have always been available to the local community and pride myself on fostering an environment that values public input and makes government accessible to all. Our current Congressional Representative, Derrick Van Orden, has never held an in-person, open town hall. We deserve elected officials who value your input and are accountable to the people of the district.

I believe that our elected officials should always be available to answer questions and address concerns from local folks, anything less than that is an abandonment of the people.

Real leaders don’t hide from voters or avoid the hard questions. I have always been accessible and accountable to the voters of Eau Claire and I will proudly do the same for the voters of Wisconsin’s Third.”

Community members are encouraged to stop by 3rd & vine for a drink, conversation, and the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a candidate committed to advocating for providing for the people of Wisconsin, not dark-money and D.C. interests.

This event is open to the public, the media is welcome to attend.
