EAU CLAIRE, WI – On Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 10:00am to noon, Congressional candidate Emily Berge will step behind the counter at SHIFT Cyclery & Coffee Bar in Eau Claire to serve coffee, connect with community members, and hear directly from voters in Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District.

From attending county fairs and parades to hosting meet-and-greets and joining farm tours, being directly available to voters has been a cornerstone of Berge’s campaign. Since announcing her candidacy earlier this year, Berge has made over 90 stops across the district, ensuring people have multiple opportunities to meet her face-to-face and share their concerns.

“As the Eau Claire City Council President, I know how important it is to show up for your community and listen”, Berge shared. “Real leaders don’t hide from voters or avoid hard questions. I’ll continue to work every day to earn people’s trust by being accessible and accountable as a Congressional Representative. The work doesn’t stop after your first time running for office. Being an elected official means being a public servant and meaningfully engaging with the public throughout the work that so greatly impacts everyone’s lives.”

This event comes just a few days after Democratic Representative Mark Pocan, from Wisconsin’s 2nd District, made four stops throughout the 3rd District. Representative Pocan has made several appearances in the 3rd CD this year, trying to make up for Representative Derrick Van Orden’s lack of accountability. Van Orden has held zero in-person, open town halls this year and on multiple occasions has avoided constituents. Berge has been a strong advocate for public input in government and was a main driver in adding a Public Comment period to Eau Claire City Council meetings.

Community members are encouraged to stop by SHIFT for a cup of coffee, conversation, and the chance to meet one-on-one with a candidate committed to ensuring affordable housing & healthcare to all, and an economy that works for working people.
