RAYMOND, Wis. – Today, Democratic candidate for Wisconsin’s First Congressional District, Mitchell Berman, announced that he has received End Citizens United’s (ECU) “Unrig Washington” designation. ECU is a national organization dedicated to reducing the influence of big money in politics and strengthening ethics and transparency in government.

“I am committed to pushing back against giant corporations that are jacking up prices, while making record profits and leaving the rest of us struggling to pay rent or afford groceries,” said Berman. “That’s why I’m proud to be part of End Citizens United’s “Unrig Washington” campaign, which calls for banning Congressional stock trading, refusing corporate PAC money, and cracking down on dark money in politics.”

Mitchell Berman is an emergency room nurse, union member, and first generation college student. He has worked in healthcare for more than 20 years and has spent the last decade caring for our veterans and their families as a nurse at the VA. He’s challenging current Republican incumbent Bryan Steil, a career politician and former corporate lawyer.
