WHITEFISH BAY, Wisc. — In case you missed it, former Navy SEAL and manufacturing leader Bill Berrien hit the ground running after launching his campaign for governor with a video on Wednesday.
In a wide array of interviews, Bill sat down to have honest, meaningful conversations about his background, his stances on the issues, and his vision for a prosperous Wisconsin.
Check out the highlights:
In an exclusive interview launching his campaign, Bill sat down for a wide ranging interview with TMJ4, where he notes that with the right leadership, we can reopen Wisconsin for business, telling Charles Benson:
“The businessman sees Wisconsin as ripe for economic growth through what he calls “forward skilling” — teaching current employees new skills for future opportunities in a changing work environment. ‘How do we reopen Wisconsin for business,’ Berrien said when discussing his economic vision. When asked about the role government should play, he responded, ‘I think incentivizing businesses. I think, you know, doing some of the structures to support business to be able to upskill their workforce.’”
In a national exclusive with Fox News announcing his campaign, the former Navy SEAL said he’s ready to take back Madison in the same fashion President Trump has done with Washington.
“In the Republican’s first national exclusive interview since announcing his gubernatorial bid, Berrien told Fox News Digital, ‘We [have] to get away from the six years of Tony Evers, where we’re going in the entirely opposite direction. This race is extremely winnable. I can win it. I can be the conservative governor that is going to make this the Wisconsin century.’”
…
“And when asked about Democrats’ early 2026 midterm messaging about the One Big Beautiful Bill Act’s Medicaid cuts, Berrien said he supports Medicaid work requirements and called Trump’s megabill ‘wind in our sails for creating the Wisconsin century, making Wisconsin the manufacturing powerhouse to the world again.’
“‘When you look at the business incentives for factory construction, investing in technology, investing in people, it’s like a Black Friday sale for factory expansion, no coupons required.’”
Sitting down with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Bill reminded Wisconsinites of his support for President Trump and his policies, telling the newspaper:
“’What he’s been doing with tariffs, with securing the border, a whole bunch of these efforts are changing the mix, and they are very positive for the country.’
“Berrien said he supports Trump’s tariff policies and posture toward China, saying he wants to replicate such policies at the state level. He also said he supported Trump’s decision to call up the California National Guard over the objection of the state’s Democratic governor.
‘I would not disagree with his actions were they to happen in Wisconsin,’ Berrien said. ‘That being said, I would be working (to) have my administration support them to deport criminal illegal aliens here. So we wouldn’t even get into that situation of needing to deploy the National Guard.’”
Bill for his part, has voted for and donated to President Trump’s campaign in 2016, 2020, and 2024.
And in a wide ranging interview that lasted nearly an hour, Bill joined Dan O’Donnell to answer the tough questions about his past record, especially his stance on, what he calls a DOA idea, ranked choice voting.
“I want to be clear: I do not support ranked choice voting. I’m a businessman as a field political outsider, and I looked at and saw a broken Wisconsin election system, and I wanted to help solve it. There are too many people who don’t have faith in how we elect their leaders. Too many conservative voters just feel like their vote doesn’t count. I was looking for a solution to our electoral system, but this isn’t it. And in fact, I would tell you, if I was governor, the initiative is dead on arrival.”
And he’s just getting started. In the days, weeks, and months ahead, Bill is ready to travel and meet with Wisconsinites across the state to talk about the issues and why he’s the best candidate to take on Tony Evers and the Democrats.
