We are deeply saddened by the passing yesterday of Officer Kendall Corder, who was shot in the line of duty Thursday evening (June 26). Our hearts are heavy, and we offer our deepest sympathies to Officer Corder’s family, friends, and squad partner Officer Christopher McCray, as they mourn, as well as the Milwaukee Police Department who lost one of their own.
Officer Corder loved serving and was an exemplary member of the Milwaukee Police Department for six years, and was assigned to District 2. The death of an officer is a tragedy for the community they serve, especially one with a long future of public service still ahead.
Collectively, we would urge the community to offer privacy and comfort to the family at this time.
