MILWAUKEE – The following statement was issued today by the Clean Economy Coalition of Wisconsin following the release of Governor Tony Evers’ 2025 budget, which includes numerous provisions that expand access to clean energy technologies and planning tools for the state’s future:
“The Clean Economy Coalition of Wisconsin applauds Governor Evers for his leadership in advancing a number of critical clean energy and climate priorities in the biennial budget.
From doubling our state’s commitment to energy efficiency to capitalizing the state’s green bank, these priorities demonstrate the Governor’s commitment to driving economic growth and job creation, while eliminating carbon emissions from the energy sector by 2050. The Governor’s budget will also grow Wisconsin’s clean energy economy as it will drive investments into local communities and Wisconsin businesses, including contractors, electricians, and manufacturers.”
