EAU CLAIRE, Wisc. – On the heels of the campaign’s launch yesterday, Rebecca Cooke for Congress announced raising $250,000 with 2,584 unique donors in 24 hours. The impressive early total speaks to Cooke’s strength as she challenges Derrick Van Orden in Wisconsin’s Third District.

I am so grateful for this grassroots support as we work to give western Wisconsin a voice in Congress who will actually show up, listen, and get results working-class families can count on. While Derrick Van Orden hides in Washington and fails to deliver, I’ll fight like hell for our shared priorities and never lose sight of what matters: the people,” small business and nonprofit leader, waitress, and 2024 Democratic nominee Rebecca Cooke said.

Cooke launched her campaign this week following a closely watched 2024 race in which she significantly outperformed top-of-the-ticket Democrats, running ahead of Vice President Harris by 4.6 points (Trump +7.4) and Senator Baldwin by 1.2 points (Hovde +4). Despite a challenging environment for Democrats and a mid-August primary, Cooke nearly won in November (48.6% Cooke-51.4% Van Orden). She is building and growing a strong coalition of support across the district’s expansive 19 counties.
