EAU CLAIRE, Wisc. – Today, the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council, representing more than 9,200 union members across the state, endorsed Rebecca Cooke for Congress in Wisconsin’s Third Congressional District.
“Working families need a fighter in Washington who puts their needs first,” Rebecca Cooke said. “I’m proud to earn the endorsement of the hard-working men and women of the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council and I’m going to work every day to ensure that their members get better wages and more economic opportunities. This campaign is about bringing everyday Wisconsinites together to stand up to the special interests that are rigging the system. Derrick Van Orden already picked his side, voting for massive tax breaks for the ultra rich that will explode the deficit by more than $4 trillion. The people of Western Wisconsin know I’m on their side.”

The Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council is an affiliation of five Laborer local unions, representing over 9,200 construction craft laborers across Wisconsin, and is part of the over 530,000 members of the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA).
