MADISON, Wis. – In case you missed it, Judge Susan Crawford met with voters on Madison’s west side Wednesday night as part of her campaign for Wisconsin Supreme Court. During the meet and greet, she shared her journey from growing up in Chippewa Falls to building a career as a prosecutor, attorney, and now judge. Judge Crawford emphasized her deep commitment to common sense, justice, and protecting the rights and freedoms of Wisconsinites.

“As a prosecutor, I really worked hard to get it right, and that means violent criminals need to be in jail or prison and off our streets. It means that big corporations that hurt our communities and hurt families need to be held accountable, and if you’re the victim of a crime, you deserve to have your rights protected and justice served,” Crawford said.
“She said now as a Dane County Circuit Court judge, she works every day to “uphold our laws and constitution.” She said as a judge, every one is treated the same.
“I don’t care what political party people belong to, I don’t care what their beliefs are. If you’re in my courtroom, I’m going to treat you with respect, make sure you get your day in court and give you a fair shake,” she said.
That “fair shake” is what won over voter Mary Hubl, who said she was leaning toward voting for Crawford but wanted to learn more about her. That’s why Hubl said she attended Wednesday’s event.
“She’s just going to treat everyone fairly, and I want that. I want everyone to be treated fairly,” Hubl said. “That’s what our state needs, and that’s what we deserve.”
