MADISON, Wis. – Today, Judge Susan Crawford’s campaign for the Wisconsin Supreme Court launched ‘Just Common Sense,’ a new ad on Judge Crawford’s record as a former prosecutor and judge working to protect our communities. The ad comes as the flailing Schimel campaign and his dark-money allies launch desperate attacks to distract from his record of letting domestic abusers walk with no jail time, allowing 6,000 rape kits to sit untested for over two years, and giving a plea deal to a child predator who’s lawyer gave $5,000 to Schimel’s campaign.

This ad is part of an ongoing statewide seven-figure broadcast and cable buy.

‘Just Common Sense’: Watch here and see the transcript below.

Judge Crawford: I’m Judge Susan Crawford.

Right now, there’s a lot of false ads trying to tell you who I am, so I thought I’d tell you myself.

As a former prosecutor and now as a judge, I’ve made sure rapists, murders, and child predators were behind bars.

I believe in protecting you, your family, and your right to privacy when corporations or the government try to pry into our personal lives.

Because to me, that’s just common sense and that’s why I’m running for Supreme Court.
