Liberal Supreme Court candidate Susan Crawford released a new TV ad today featuring a police officer who says when he walks into a courtroom, he wants a judge like her.

For the week that ends Monday, Crawford has nearly $1.3 million in ad reservations, according to AdImpact, while conservative rival Brad Schimel has nearly $806,000. Elon Musk’s Building America’s Future and the WMC Issues Mobilization Council has another $931,000 reserved backing Schimel.

The spot features retired Police Officer Mike Walters, who says while trying to “put away violent criminals, you deal with two kinds of prosecutors,” including guys like “Schimel, who gave big plea deals to rapists, domestic abusers and even a man caught with child pornography.”

He says the others are like Crawford, “who made sure rapists, murderers and abusers were behind bars — so victims could get justice.”

He closes the spot, “When I walk in a courtroom, I want Judge Susan Crawford, and now we need her on the Supreme Court.”
